Hello -
My name is Karen Warwick and I have a question.
I belong to our local Royal Canadian Legion in Coquitlam, British Columbia. We are a non-profit organization assisting our Veterans and giving back to our community through donations to sports teams, local Cadet groups, etc.
My husband Bill was the 1st Vice President when he died suddenly last year. It had been his wish to organize a classic car show as an event for our Legion but that did not happen. His classic car is a 1966 Chevelle SS. A treasure we will keep in our family.
The Executive this year has gone ahead with plans for the car show and is calling it the "Bill Warwick Memorial Car Show". It will be held in Coquitlam on Sunday, July 23rd, 2017.
My son and I are donating the two trophies for a People's Choice Award and have been looking for clipart or other of a 1966 Chevelle to etch onto the trophies.
It has to be in a Vector format for the trophy company to be able to use it.
My question is - Are you the copyright owner of this artwork and if so would you give us permission to use your artwork on the two trophies?
It would absolutely not be used for any financial gain to the Legion. It would strictly be used on the two trophies. The large one that will be kept with the Legion and the smaller individual one that will be given to the winner. If the car show is successful and the interest is there to repeat it in subsequent years, then other trophies would be needed as the time comes.
I appreciate any consideration you might give to this inquiry.
